Ten intimate compositions distilling a vision of standing at the edge of something vast — a frozen sea, a darkening forest, a sky shifting from red to black. Slow‑building textures and fragile melodies that reward patient, close listening.

A short cycle of songs that lingers in the half‑light — hushed, blooming, and quietly overgrown.

Immersive and quietly arresting — a deep reverence for the space between sounds.
Where the natural environment and electronic experimentation dissolve into one another.

e‑voque is the project of multidisciplinary artist Dominique Francis Grogan — a sonic world where the natural environment and electronic experimentation dissolve into one another.
Drawing from ambient, avant‑garde, and baroque pop, their music is immersive and quietly arresting: slow‑building textures, fragile melodies, and a deep reverence for the space between sounds.
Rooted in an eco‑conscious artistic practice, e‑voque’s work feels like standing at the edge of something vast. Equal parts meditative and complicated — music for those who want to feel as much as hear.

I’m Dom Francis, a queer eco‑focused multidisciplinary artist from New York.
My background is rooted in music composition. I’m an experienced classical performer (voice), blossoming with a full ride to college to pursue music. At the conservatory I performed in many operas and musicals — but I also took the opportunity to take classes in music production, creative writing, and composition. This opened the possibility of expressing myself through non‑auxiliary art forms. Currently, I explore other genres such as experimental / avant‑garde, free, ambient, jazz, and atonal.
A major milestone was producing songs independently — from composing to singing to production and editing. My operatic vocal background used to feel like something that wouldn’t benefit me on this contemporary venture, but I’ve started incorporating it so I can show more forms of myself, playing with old‑and‑new contrast. I have advanced skills in Logic Pro X, where I can essentially create an entire orchestra to bring my compositions alive. I also use physical synths and percussion instruments.
After joining an environmentalist group in my area, I wanted to start telling stories of climate change and animal welfare with art. I expanded into writing prose and poetry for inspiration, to accompany my music. My unique voice percolates through all of the disciplines in my projects.
My style is often described as free, whimsical, modern yet nostalgic, vulnerable, and theatrical — bright colors and large 20+ voice instrumentals. All of my art is based around my personal journey of pure self‑expression, battling the perfectionism of coming from a formal art background. Moving forward, I am building a portfolio of projects built around specific climate motivations, incorporating several art forms while keeping my signature style throughout.
